Summary:
By far, we had the best hotel experience at the St Regis Bali Resort and Spa, located in Nusa Dua. The level of service was unparalleled. We felt like we were in a constant state of luxury for the entirety of our stay. The beach was beautiful, which is not always a given in Bali, surprisingly. In addition, the location of the resort was convenient. The St Regis Bali is located still within walking distance to local restaurants, spas, and the National Golf Course, but away from the majority of the hubbub. Read below for a detailed review of our stay.
TLDR: If you ever have a chance to stay at the St Regis Bali, do it! It will be well-worth it.

Booking:
We brought along my immediate family, including my parents and my brother, so we had to book two rooms. One of the rooms was booked using points – 240,000 Marriott points for 5 nights. We were able to take advantage of special promotions going on at the time, due to the merging of the two hotel brands, Marriott and SPG. The room was booked at a rate of 60,000 points per night (now it’s 80,000 points), and because we booked four nights, a promotion allowed us to get the fifth night free.
For the other room, we paid at a cash rate, but we used the Citi Prestige credit card benefit, which allows one to book four nights at any hotel and get the fifth night stay free. The original cash rate was about $400 USD a night, so the total came out to $1600 USD for 5 nights.
Airport Arrival:
Upon arrival at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, we were immediately greeted by St Regis staff. As in literally upon arrival. We unboarded the aircraft and were ushered into a separate mini van to the gate, while all the other passengers had to watch us and go into a crowded bus to the airport. In the mini van, the St Regis staff offered us cold water and perfume-scented towels, and we took a comfortable AC ride to the immigration area.
From there, we were escorted through an expedited passport check line, reserved usually for diplomats. This proved to be really helpful, as the regular line had sprawled to a queue of 300 people. It took us a minute to go through customs and have our passports checked and stamped. We were then taken to an exclusive airport lounge, where more chilled water and towels awaited us. The St Regis staff took care of our luggage in the meantime.
Once we had all of our luggage, we were escorted once more to the exit, where two St Regis mini vans awaited us, one for our family and one for the luggage. Once again, we were served chilled water, towels, and chocolates. The travel time from the airport to the hotel was 30 minutes.
Rooms:
Because of Ningwei’s Titanium Marriott status, both rooms were upgraded for free to plunge-pool suites.

Resort:
The property was beautiful. There are multiple pools, pristine white-sand beaches, and gorgeous landscaping/decor everywhere.

Dining:
Breakfast Buffet at the Boneka
Ningwei’s Titanium Marriott status gave us free breakfast for 2 people per room, but since we had 5 people total, we had to pay out of pocket for the 5th person’s breakfast. The cash rate was $40 USD per meal, but Marriott discounts their members 20% for eating at the hotel’s restaurants, so we ended up paying $160 total for breakfast. This was a steal, considering the quality and range of items that could be ordered.

Kayuputi
We had dinner here with the family. To be honest, we didn’t feel like the quality of the food justified the high price tag here. We have had fancy gourmet food before, and while the food tasted alright, the portions were small and the price tags abnormally hefty for Bali.

Afternoon Tea at King Cole Bar
On our last day at the St Regis Bali, we came here for a late lunch/early dinner. The afternoon tea, after taking into consideration the 20% discount, was about $14 USD per person, so very well worth. It included a three-tiered assortment of savory and sweet finger foods, plus a tray of hand-crafted desserts that tied in with the theme of Easter. In addition, there was a small buffet of sweets and savory foods, such as a chocolate fountain with cookies and fruits, mini quiches, and skewers.

We hope that our review of the St Regis Bali was helpful for you! Let us know if you have any questions or comments.
